SHOTTSMAN/IG CULTURE
The Master of Ceremonies, Protector of the ARKhive, Filmmaker, Writer, Producer, All round Artist and founder of Holy Roller

IG Culture is a producer, film maker, DJ and alchemist who fused hiphop, house, afrobeat, electro, and jazz creating a style that launched a groundbreaking new genre of music that became known as ‘broken beat’ and has gone on to influence cutting-edge dance music worldwide including inspiring popular sounds known as ‘uk funky’ and ‘dubstep’.

A man of many monikors, his AKA’s include New Sector Movements, Quango, Likwid Biskit, Son of Scientist, Scienz Culture (with Scienz of Life) and Shottsman. In the early part of 2000, his legendary club night ‘the coop’ became widely acclaimed as the No.1 Broken Beat night spot on the planet, winning 2 BBC radio awards.

More recently Shottsman has developed into a creative and respected documentarian thanks to his Jazz Dance short Floor Violence. He uses his passion and unique position within music culture to dig deep into histories (was King Tim III The first?) and current trends on music and dance (Ghetto Dance A to Z). Currently in production are two multi-episode projects, Floor Violence Europe, a follow up dance series, and Two Big Sound, a history of the two leading UK Reggae Sound Systems who dominated in the 80’s, the mighty Saxon Studio Sound and Sir Coxone Sound.

ROLLIN D/NICOLA DRACOULIS
Director of visuals, Information Juggernaut, Co-Director, Co-laborator, Co-founder of Holy Roller

Nicola Dracoulis is a respected photographer, visual artist, digital producer who shares the passion for music, dance and social histories. She has traveled internationally as a photographer, and is known for her multi-part project Viver no Meio do Barulho/Living in the Middle of the Noise. Her debut into video was a UK Funky meets Baile Funk music and dance fusion project The Corcovado, produced in collaboration with Yassmin Foster.

Co-founder of Holy Roller, she has been the behind the scenes website creator, Holy Roller’s photographer, film collaborator (Eldica, Best kept secret), digital artist, writer (see recent guide to Hip Hop photobooks) and has known to moonlight as a DJ with her Funk Boogie Electric Funk series.

As Rollin’ D, she was dubbed the information juggernaut after her extensive three-part article on the History of Double Dutch Ready your Ropes and it’s links to the history of hip hop.
