Ballaholic /bauwl-ah-houwl-ik/noun

1. Term: Description of an individual or group of individuals (orig: of African American descent but not restricted to) addiction to a hedonistic lifestyle consistent and associated with ballaholic tendancies. ‘High rolling’, ‘Living like a pimp‘ ‘Doin’ it big‘ or ‘Flossing hard‘ all describe the main activiyies of an authentic Ballaholic persona.

2. An individual’s or group of individual’s insatiable appetite for the party or club scene, taking the practice of ‘ballin’ out of control’, out of control! (see Ballin’ Out of Control)

3..a. Two or more practices (see 4.below) stemming from funds accumulated from the sale of narcotics that qualify an individual or group of individuals to be known as Ballaholic.

b. A ‘rap nigga’s (rapper) lyrical suggestion that he/she and his/her crew live a lifestyle not usually associated with the so called ‘hood rat’. The Ballaholic life style is said to derive from monies generated from shifting Ki’s (kilos) of cocaine or crack cocaine in ‘Da hood’ (the neighbourhood), another practice know as ‘da grind‘ (selling illegal drugs).

It is said that the illegal practice of selling narcotics coupled with “being on the grind in da hood 24/7” will place this particular rap individual in a comfortable and perpetual state of ‘balling hard’, thus resulting in the desired Ballaholic status. (usually,the negative aspects of becoming widely known as a ballaholic often leads to playa hating, snitching, incarceration, and gang related deaths)

4.To qualify and appear as an authentic Ballaholic (see MTV rap video promos) a so called rap nigga, must indulge in at least two of the following practices :

i. Counting and holding bundles of dollars in  rap video promo’s,
ii. Swigging from bottles of Hennesey at exclusive locations that give the impression of ballaholic lifestyle (golf courses, expensive  cribs, mansions etc)
iii. Kicking it with ‘homies’ (friends) and dozens of bikini hiphop honey
ies (models) by swimming pools at expensive mansions.
iv. Kicking it with ‘homies’ in front of dozens of brand new expensive whips (motor vehicless)

Famous ballaholic : Floyd ‘Money‘ Mayweather, boxer and full time ballaholic

It is widely known that millionaire Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on sports betting and has spent millions on auto mobiles, jewellery, and his lavish multi million dollar home known as the Big Boy Mansion.
